Looming deadlines, televisions, phones beeping and buzzing all night long… the world never stops. You should though. A good night’s sleep is so important for a healthy lifestyle. These techniques should lull you in to a rested state and make it much easier for you to fall asleep. Exercise can expertly raise your melatonin levels and also help you shed those stubborn pounds! Going for a quick jog in the morning or even a few star-jumps before you shower can get your blood pumping and set you up for a productive day’s work as well as a sound night’s sleep. However exercising too soon before bed can actually stimulate your mind and body so avoid exercise late at night.

Learning to just breeeeeathe is one of the best and effective ways to relax. Try breathing exercises and learn to relax. These techniques are easy, totally free and can be done just before you lie down to sleep. Close your eyes, breathe in deeply and let all your tension float away on your out breath…

The bigger the better… don’t let your husband convince you otherwise! The bigger the bed, the less space you have to share, and the more likely you are of having an undisturbed sleep. It helps if your partner doesn’t snore endlessly in your ear too!
