Welcome to National Bed Month!

Why it’s SO important to get good sleep

Getting enough sleep is crucial for our physical and mental health. Poor sleep has been linked to a range of health problems, including obesity, heart disease, and depression. It can also affect our ability to concentrate and make decisions, as well as our mood and overall quality of life.

During National Bed Month, The Sleep Charity encourages people to make positive changes to their sleep habits. This can include creating a sleep-friendly environment, establishing a regular sleep schedule, and avoiding stimulants like caffeine and nicotine before bedtime.

If you're experiencing discomfort or pain when you sleep, it may be time to invest in a new mattress or pillows. The Sleep Charity recommends replacing your mattress every seven years to ensure it continues to provide adequate support. Browse Fabb’s range of luxury mattresses at great value prices.

To demonstrate our commitment to the National Bed Federations (NBF) key values, Fabb has implemented a buying policy specifying that all our mattresses must be sourced from NBF approved suppliers, making Fabb the only national furniture retailer that is also a Premier NBF Retail Champion. We strive to provide the highest quality training across all our members, enabling employees to deliver the latest knowledge and support to all of our customers, from store to door. Our innovation on simplifying bed purchasing for our customers with streamlined delivery times has earned us our finalist title with the NBF.

Objectives of the NBF

To be the voice of the UK bed industry, both nationally and internationally

To work closely with other, non-competing organisations also serving the interests of the furniture industry to further the specific interests of the UK bed industry.

To promote and foster public awareness of the benefits to health and wellbeing of quality sleep enhanced by the correct support and comfort of a good bed, regularly replaced.

To investigate cases of unfair or fraudulent trading and to take such proceedings as may appear to the Federation to be advisable to prevent the sale of any article which is being sold, or about to be sold under any misleading, false, or fraudulent description or trade mark or trade name.

To ensure that all members of the Federation fulfil all relevant legal obligations and operate in an ethical manner conducive to fair competition and fair dealing with employees, customers and suppliers.

"We are proud to be the only major retailer awarded NBF Premier Retail Champion. This means that 100% of our beds are sourced from NBF approved manufacturers, giving customers assurance and confidence that their bed is made to the highest quality and safety standards."
